Amanda Jacobs
Chef de Cuisine
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, raised in western Massachusetts. Chef Amanda Jacobs was always fascinated by the happenings of kitchens. As a child Amanda got an early start to her culinary career peeling potatoes and prepping vegetables for her family's café.
After a seven year stint making wheelchairs for disabled pets at Eddie's Wheels in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, it occurred to her that her true calling was cooking.
In 2007, Amanda moved to California with her husband to raise her two adorable young boys and introduce them to the Sonoma County lifestyle.
At the Village Inn & Restaurant in 2008, under the tutelage of Chef John Crespo, then sous-chef Jacobs developed her culinary skills to include chef de partie, broiler, pantry, soups & saucier, butcher and pastry chef. It is here she honed her appreciation for aromas, presentation and taste, confirming her innate desire to please her guests.
Amanda appreciates Sonoma County for her beauty and bounty. "I particularly enjoy cooking comfort food with a fine dining twist", she beams with that ever-present twinkle in her eye, "and taking advantage of all the delightful fresh produce, fish, meats and dairy Sonoma County has to offer". Amanda, we couldn't agree more.
